Office Closure

Dear Patients,

Effective December 31, 2024, the Center for Retinal Diseases and Surgery, LLC, the offices of Dr. Stephen Pappas, Jr. and the Bethesda-location for Dr. Neha Serrano, has officially closed and is no longer seeing patients.

Vision EMERGENCIES are no longer handled by this office. If you are experiencing a sight-threatening emergency, please go to the nearest Emergency Room or call 911.

For details and additional information on our closure, please refer to the letter sent to our patients in early September 2024. Page Three offers new contact information for Dr. Serrano, Dr. Pappas, other suggested retina colleagues in the region, or alternatively you may contact the Montgomery County Medical Society at 301-921-4300 and/or your health insurance carrier for a referral.

Your Medical Records will remain available through our office for at least seven years from the date of your last visit. When you identify a new retina specialist, we recommend making your appointment before requesting a transfer of your records from our office (call 301-571-2000). You may also send an email request through this website, click here. We require at least 7-10 days notice prior to an upcoming appointment to ensure timely delivery of your records. As a reminder, you may also access your visit summaries through the portal of our electronic health record provider, DoctorSoft.

Thank you for your trust, confidence and friendship over these many years. Warmest best wishes to each of you for continued health.

Drs. Pappas and Serrano
